are you ready

High School

Welcome to the Cape Fear Rugby Club, and the sport of Rugby Union
Football. Rugby is a popular game played by men and women of every
race and creed, from under age five to well over fifty, in over 100
countries of the world, both professionally and by amateurs.

Our goal is to implement rugby at the high school level in all schools
in the area. Initially we will host a one month camp. Individuals
from all schools will train together. We will then divide the squad
in half and play 2 matches.

We will commence with a 4 week training schedule. We will train after
school, at 4pm, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 2 weeks,
beginning today, 4MAR2008.

We will train at Flytrap Downs, home of the Cape Fear Rugby Club.
Flytrap Downs is located just onto 21st St, at the intersection of
Chestnut St. (across from Annie Snipes Elementary School). There will
be a traditional rugby party after the match. Sodas and pizzas will
be provided.

On Saturday, 15MAR2008 we will play a controlled rugby match at
Flytrap Downs. The kickoff will be at noon.

At 11:00, on the same day, The Cape Fear Rugby Club will honor 2
members of our club who have recently died. It will be a special day
in the history of the Cape Fear Rugby Club.

We will train for 2 more weeks, beginning Tuesday, 18MAR2008, Tue,
Wed, and Thu for 2 weeks. We will have a 2nd match on 29MAR2008, at
11:00am.

You must have parental permission to participate in this camp. The
USA Rugby Football Union (the national umbrella organization for US
rugby) requires all players to be registered.
It is called CIPP (Club and Individual Player Plan). The CIPP
registration for a pro rated high school player is $13.33. Dues for
High School players will be $35 for club membership, and participation
in the camp.. That includes club sponsored CIPP registration, and
incidentals. All players will receive a Cape Fear High School Rugby
Club T shirt.

CIPP registration and dues must be paid prior to playing in the match
on 15MAR2008

We are truly glad that you all have chosen to participate in our great
sport.
